Hi,

I am a big fan of matte lipsticks, and have many in my collection, so I thought I should review some of my favourites that I think other people might like.

Today I am reviewing the Collection Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Creams in shades Cotton Candy 1 and Fairy Cake 3. I bought these in Boots quite a while ago now (in fact I am going to replace these ones because they're feeling pretty empty at this point), from a selection of four colours. The other colours I believe are more nude/neutral and I don't think they'd suit me so I just got these two shades.

You can buy these at Boots for £2.99 each, which is so cheap so you have no excuse really (:

I like that these are lip creams, I don't know why, but I guess they're more low maintenance than a conventional lipstick, i.e. it won't melt in your pocket, it has a useful applicator, etc. I enjoy trying different versions of things I like, and I do find this form of lipstick is much more moisturising.

These claim to be 'velvety soft, matt finish lip cream', and I definitely agree. They are very soft, and after a little bit do become fully matte. Their texture makes them very smooth and easy to apply, and I don't ever need to use a lip pencil with them.

Once they dry, which I find takes a bit longer than similar products I've tried, they don't make your lips feel dry or uncomfortable. Matte lip products tend to be more long-lasting than other textures, and with these I would say they last a decent amount of time, but not as long as others I have tried.

In terms of how transfer-proof they are I would say that, again, they aren't as transfer-proof as their more expensive counterparts, but at the same time they do withstand a glass of water, or a snack without you having to worry about it all rubbing off.

Overall I really do like these, and I will be repurchasing them next time I'm in Boots. They are great for the price and if you can't afford the more expensive options then these are perfectly acceptable alternatives. My only wish is that they came in more colours because I would definitely buy them!
