Tutorial: Neutral Eyes & Purple Ombré Lips

I wanted a reason to use my Illamasqua Precision Ink in Glister, which is a really unusual glittery nude coloured liquid eyeliner, and I'd been struggling to think of a way to make the most of it. So I managed to put this look together, by using it as an eyeshadow base.

Alien

This is a competition entry for the competition The You Generation are running. My main motivation for entering is that Pixiwoo are judging, and the opportunity to have them watch a tutorial I have done is too amazing to pass up!

Tutorial: Ash Costello (New Years Day)

Sites like Instagram, Tumblr and YouTube are where I go when I'm lacking inspiration, and over time I've found very talented make up artists, as well as just really interesting and creative people.

Rockabilly / Alt Inspired Look (Full Face Tutorial)

After a request from my friend Kirstie to do a Rockabilly style make up tutorial I have been spending a lot of time Googling 'rockabilly' 'rockabilly makeup' 'rockabilly style', and so on to find the quintessential Rockabilly make up look.

Video: Crescent Moon Cut Crease With Blue Glitter

I've been feeling like I'm in a bit of a creative rut recently, which has made it very difficult to think of tutorials to record. I see so many amazing, creative, talented make up artists daily on YouTube and Instagram, and they make me want to step up my game so much. I feel like the more creative looks aren't necessarily what I'm good at, so I tend to avoid doing them in order to avoid failing at them! I love using colour, and I feel like I can do bright looks, dark looks and neutral looks, but anything with unusual shapes or intricate detail terrifies me.

Video: Pretty Grunge

Recently I remembered how much I love Smog eyeshadow by Urban Decay so I decided my next video had to feature it. It's one of very few eyeshadow colours I love to wear alone. Normally I'll use a good 3 or 4 colours in an eye look, but this one features just Smog (excluding the highlight colour).

I decided to call it 'Pretty Grunge' because the eyeshadow is relatively dark and smudgey, but then the lips are quite a light girly pink to balance it out. I quite like them together.

I wondered if it was even worth doing a tutorial on this, but I thought what the heck I'll do it anyway.
