Video: Katy Perry Dark Horse Music Video Make Up

Hi,

As soon as I even heard Katy Perry's latest single Dark Horse I knew I had to take a look at the music video. Much to my dismay, the video isn't even out yet! But there was a short preview video, and her make up is amazing in it!

It's a lot more technical than I'm used to, and I don't think looks like this are my strong point. It's nice to challenge myself, though, and I'm glad I did.

I'll post the video preview, the screenshot I took, and my own photos and tutorial.

Here is the screenshot I took, and copied from:

And here are my own photos:

This tutorial was recorded at a time when I was unable to talk about the products I was using. Since I can talk about that now, I'm adding in that information. This is from memory so I may not be able to list everything, but I will do my best!

  1. Ooh I love her take on the typical cleopatra eye makeup and you did an incredibly wonderful job recreating it :)

  2. You did a great job, you should be very proud of yourself. You look beautiful without the MU, so you didn't have any room to fail. Can you please tell me what lip liner & LS you used? Also, did you use the eBay ES palettes for the eyes? First time on your blog. I'll be back around.
